WHO ARE WE?
WHAT IS THE ASIA PACIFIC SIMULATION ALLIANCE?
The Asia Pacific Simulation Alliance (APSA) is an independent social enterprise which invests back into the community to build a global network and develop future professionals. Our vision to fulfil three main objectives:
- For users of simulation to share research, methodologies and technologies
- For simulation developers to promote their technologies and exchange the latest on industry advancements
- For users and developers to engage together in rich dialogue to further advance simulation as an enabler across a wide range of industry sectors
The APSA encourages simulation users in high risk environments across the Asia Pacific to share, learn and collaborate. It seeks to enhance science and technology awareness, and understanding in the community to accelerate the uptake of innovative modelling, simulation and training solutions.
Our aim is to build a critical mass of people within government and business with the knowledge and skills to enable them to drive sustainable change and improvement in managing complex environments.
The APSA Virtual Solutions Centre is a service centre offering advice and consultancy to industry and government
The Asia Pacific Simulation Alliance Virtual Solutions Centre Expert Panel consists of a multidisciplinary team of experts representing government, industry and academia. They offer guidance and provide fresh insights and thinking on emerging or unfamiliar issues, respond to ideas, and supply high quality objective advice to support the decision-making processes of new and established simulation users.
The APSA Virtual Solutions Centre aims to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the field of Modelling and Simulation. In addition to facilitating the implementation of technological and behavioural change, it specialises in researching problems and providing solutions that:
- Focus on the big picture - strategic issues, industry developments and market trends.
- Provide objective advice on evolving simulation technologies, theories, and applications; and more effective and efficient service delivery models.
- Drive and implement the creative problem solving process with participation and input from stakeholders.
