ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SERIES

The Asia Pacific Simulation Alliance Advanced Professional Development Program Series aims to bring you Simulation Experts from around the world and around the nation to share practical knowledge and address emerging needs in Modelling and Simulation in response to training and development.

Using real world case studies, and facilitated by experienced practitioners, the program is designed to address both individual and organisational challenges through the presentation of best practice theory, methods and tools.

These short industry focused courses (also referred to as micro credentials) are badged by UNSW Sydney, and can be used to gain credit towards the Masters degree program in Visualisation, Simulation, and Immersive Design.

Advanced Master Classes and Workshops are scheduled on a need basis. Please alisha@simulationusers.com to register your interest.

DESIGNING A SIMULATION-ENABLED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT (TBC 2020)

Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Correctly planned and executed learning environment design promotes effective and efficient training with results that are consistent with planned goals and outcomes. The design of all simulation-enabled learning experiences requires focused and systematic, yet flexible planning. If they are to achieve their expected outcomes, the design and development of learning environments must consider criteria that encompass both the effectiveness and restrictions of using simulation-enabled technology. This course will provide participants with an understanding of an effective process that will allow then to undertake actual learning environment design. They will gain an awareness of the unique issues that apply to simulation-enabled learning environment design, how to address them and the areas where compromise could be necessary.
