The Aerospace Simulation Conference will be held within the main 3 industry days within the AVALON 2021 Conference Centre. Time and date to be confirmed. Orlando, Florida, United States The Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) invites you to submit an abstract centered on Modeling & Simulation (M&S), M&S standards, or a supporting concept or capability that impacts or enhances the development and use of M&S. An abstract can be either for a presentation with an accompanying paper, or for only a presentation. Presentations that have an accompanying paper will be given preference. The Simulation Innovation Workshop will be held in Orlando, Florida in February 10 – 14, 2020.

SIMGOV 2018 - FUTURE READY (20-21 MARCH)

SimGOV is for federal, state and local government agencies to look at operational risk management and how to apply it to their operations. Effective decision-making is underpinned by excellent quality information. Future outcomes are improved by implementing lessons learnt. This SimGOV forum provides case studies using modelling, simulation and gaming. Participants will be working in a team on tables and will be provided with a different hypothetical catastrophic incident whereby throughout the two days they will identify how this will affect their workplace and the community. Presenters will introduce participants to M&S techniques to apply to their incident.

SIMULATION MANAGEMENT: SYSTEMS AND PEOPLE - PART A (23-24 NOV)
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia This Advanced Master Class provides an overview of the organisational, business, systems and people requirements in the development, procurement and management of a simulation operation and lifecycle. Participants will learn knowledge to make better and more informed decisions as managers and operational leads. This unit takes a holistic approach by focussing on the needs and cost benefit analysis for procurement including determining capability requirements, resource allocation, assessing budget and financial risk. Participants will learn how to develop a simulation business proposal and gain an insight into contracting, governance and compliance requirements. The unit will focus on the human dimensions of project and people management, including stakeholder relationships, monitoring performance and deliverables, risk and task management, establishing teams, workplace culture and protocols.

SIMGOV 2017 - FUTURE READY (7-8 AUG)
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia SimGOV is an entire government initiative formed with the purpose to discuss the use of simulation and modelling across the public sector, in addition to looking at business continuity and collaborative agency incident response to develop Future Ready agencies. SimGOV is for federal, state and local government agencies to look at operational risk management and how to apply it to their operations. Effective decision-making is underpinned by excellent quality information. Future outcomes are improved by implementing lessons learnt. This inaugural SimGOV forum provides case studies using modelling, simulation and gaming. Participants will understand how to improve decision-making prior to a major procurement and training strategies for operations and teams in low probable high-risk situations. The Future Ready forum focuses on raising the awareness of modelling and simulation applications and the benefits for a strategic 10-year plan. This SimGOV forum is the first in a series of four.
