DISTRIBUTED SIMULATION: DEVELOPING CONCEPTUAL AND HUMAN SYSTEMS
Dr Diallo has a Ph.D. Modeling and Simulation, Old Dominion University, 2010, M.Sc. Modeling and Simulation, Old Dominion University, 2006, and a B.S. Computer Engineering, Old Dominion University, 2003. His areas of expertise include: M&S Interoperability, the Science of M&S, and M&S Methodologies.
Since May 2010 he has been Research Assistant Professor at the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC), Old Dominion University (May 2010 – Current). This role includes the Director of the Modeling and Simulation Interoperability Lab, Co-Lead of the Human Dynamics lab, Affiliated Faculty at Old Dominion University, Research Associate at the Institute for Bio-Cultural Study of Religion; and has received over one million dollars of funding.
Prior to his current role, from May 2006-2010 Dr Diallo was the Senior Project Scientist at the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC), Old Dominion University whereby be acted as Co-PI on over two million dollars of funded projects, served as Technical lead for NAT) and DoD projects, and served as co-Lead of SISO/IEEE standard drafting group. From January 2004 to May 2006, he was the Project Scientist: Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC), Old Dominion University and acted as developer on NATO, DoD and DHS projects.
Dr Diallo is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Special Interest Group Simulation (SIGSIM), the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO), and the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS).
